I’m back to the high-rise life again. My first studio was at a SoFo building (Small office, Flexible office). Stayed there for about a year, then moved to a landed single storey house. With the huge space, I was thinking I could host more workshops and do walk-in sessions like a little quaint store. However, Covid happened and I had to scrap off the idea. I’ve only done few workshop sessions and ONE walk-in sale for my 13th anniversary. Just right before I moved from that single storey house.

I have a lot to talk about the single storey house. It was a really old house, I think it was over 30 over years old. When I moved in, I made sure my landlady fixed what needed to be fixed, but alas, it’s an old house. Problems came in one by one. I became a pro at fixing things, killing cockroaches, patching holes on walls and doors, and most importantly, preventing rats from coming into the house. I really miss the garden space though. I had so much space for my plants. :’)

5th year in the house, someone broke in. My neighbours called me at 7 in the morning and told me my gate was wide open. In my mind I knew- kena liao. My landlady wouldn’t stop calling me saying it’s my fault for the break in lol. It was her lousy gate which I asked her to fix the past 5 years. But she won’t stop the blaming. Okay- putting all of those behind. She then raised my rent despite the shitty condition at her house. Half a year later she wants to sell the house. Great, time to move.

Searched high and low, and here I am at this new studio. Sold a lot of things from my 2nd studio and I had to pack everything into a smaller place haha.

This is how my new studio look like now. A lot of my plants died because it’s too hot here. Sigh 🙁

I still can host workshops here. Still not sure when though. Maybe real soon? 😉
