My love for ang ku kueh is so deep :p
I made a bigger version of ang ku kueh!
Hmm, I think it took me about 4-5 hours making one from scratch..
Many of my friends and customers often “complain” saying my miniatures are too small 🙁
Too small to see and touch.
Oh well, I do agree with them but I’ve always wanted to make small miniatures! LOL
So I had a thought to just try making on of my kuehs bigger.
Of course it had to be my favourite – Ang Ku Kueh :p

Hmm, so this time I wanted to make something different.
Since bigger stuffs can’t be made into accessories (who wears such huge earrings anyways LOL)
I had the idea to turn it into magnets instead..
(which later on a couple friends kept pestering me to make magnets :p)
I managed to get hold of these bamboo trays, which were used a lot back in the days.
I think it makes the whole presentation looking more “traditional”
What do you think? 🙂
It definitely took me a few tries to get the “feel” right.
Here is a trial version I did before this
Everything looks too crowded and I feel like I cannot breathe, I like empty spaces 🙂
