Woots woots have you heard about the Etsy Craft Parties going on over the whole world? 😀
If you’ve seen my instagram/facebook postings, you might have noticed that I have an Etsy Shop 😉
So what’s this Etsy Craft Party thing?
It’s an annual event, to put it in words it’s just a “birthday party” created by Etsy, to celebrated the existence of Etsy and to bring Etsy users together 🙂 (i think so lah, should be true i guess haha!!)
So we have something called “teams” on Etsy, like Facebook groups, and Malaysia has one: Team Etsy Malaysia. So our team captain: Shelby from Bisou Bon Bon, has decided to start a party this year, because our team has been pretty quiet for about 4 years, time to pump things up!
I volunteered as a helper, along with a few friends: Kricia, Lynn, Yuzmin & Nadiah 🙂 We have about a month or two to prepare the event (I joined in abit later hehe), and it’s pretty fun to learn a new skill!
So Shelby decided to make weaving tapestry for our craft party – I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THE IDEA.

[hr]Preparing for the event was funnn, we get to meet up getting crash courses from Yuzmin and Lynn, and we get to make our own tapestry as well! I’m kind of shy to show mine, but here goes LOL.. I think this took me about an hour or two to learn the basics, then I went home to complete the whole thing.

At first we were quite worried the seats wouldn’t sell, but thank god they sold out!! We had about 16 pax per session, 3 session in total. That was pretty cray cray to stay for three sessions, but it was VERY fun teaching everyone weaving! And thanks to all the team members for making this happen 🙂 I happen to meet a lot of local Etsy Sellers during the event, it’s a nice meet up session hehe.

Every participant gets a goodie bag filled with all the fancy stuffs we sponsored, and some fancy stuffs Shelby got from Etsy (That Etsy Pen is So Pretty!!)

[hr]I personally would LOVE to have more of these kind of events (Oops, have I forgotten how tiring was this again?) LOL But it sure is nice to see everyone coming together to learn a new skill!
